Biography - Lunachicks

Lunachicks is an American punk rock band from New York City. The band formed in 1987 and had been on hiatus since 2000, with the band reuniting in 2019. The band cited influences including the Ramones, Kiss, and the MC5.
The first line up included singer Theo Kogan, guitarist Gina Volpe and bass player Sydney "Squid" Silver, whom were all friends attending the NYC Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts.
It's said that Theo's then boyfriend, who was named Mike, played the drums on their first show, in 1988.
