Orelsan is the stage name of Aurélien Cotentin (born August 1, 1982), a French hip hop and rap artist.
His music is often described as conscious rap.
He started getting famous by posting videos on his Myspace. The song “St valentin” is one of the songs that made him known then followed by other bangers like “Changement”(=change) in 2008. His first album "Perdu d'avance" (=lost in advance) was published in 2009 but at the same he had a controversial follow-up to his song "Sale pute" (=dirty whore).
